Stretchfix Do you love to decorate garments and accessories with your own motifs and appliqués?Then Stretchfix is the ultimate help for you. No shifting under the sewing machine and no bumps in the fabric. Stretchfix is ideal for adding an appliqué to T-shirts or other items made of stretchy fabrics, because Stretchfix is stretchy and its elasticity maintains the stretchiness of the fabric - just try it!This is how it works: You decide on a motif that you would like to appliqué and cut the fabric you need generously (this doesn't have to be very precise). Then iron the Stretchfix onto the wrong side of the fabric (with the paper on top). Now you can draw your motif and cut it to size. ATTENTION: For numbers or letters you have to draw the motif mirror-inverted ;)Now remove the (cooled) backing paper and place the motif on the part to be appliquéd. Then iron it on and sew it to the outer edges of the appliqué. This looks very nice with a zigzag stitch and/or contrasting thread.My tip: You can also use it to make great things out of our beautiful wool felt. For glasses cases or mobile phone covers, for example, I glued two layers of wool felt together (this is called laminating). This makes the felt a little thicker and more stable. This cotton fleece from "Westfalenstoffe" is made of pure organic cotton. It is ideal as a batting for patchwork and quilting quilts, or for padding warm clothing.The fleece, quilted between 2 fabrics, is safely washable up to 40° C and suitable for the dryer. When used as a batting, the quilting should ideally be approx. 10 x 10 cm.Due to its properties as a natural fibre, cotton is a very skin-friendly material, has a climate-regulating effect and is suitable for allergy sufferers.With a thickness of approx. 5 mm, it is suitable for almost all patchwork projects. The volume fleece is made of 100 % cotton from controlled organic cultivation (kbA). The organic cotton for this fleece is not bleached and is only mechanically compressed and bonded with fine needles, making it particularly soft and breathable.The high-quality fleece is ideally suited as padding for baby and children's clothing, for crawling blankets, patchwork and quilt blankets or sleeping bags.
